In our presentation few weeks ago we mentioned about gender dicrimination over the Boleyn Girl film. First we give a historical back ground of movie. As you know it is originated from the historical event ; England with the Henry VIII . After that we give information about the personalities of characters for the author who did not watch movie before. The most important part we mentioned is gender dicrimination in two subheading. First one is woman seen as a property and second one is about man's superiority. In movie woman treated like a material and child producer. They have fewer rights compared to men. Eventhough Katherine is Queen of England she thinks that just man can be a king and rule the country. Her first child is girl so she is trying to give a boy to her husband, to the king. I think she wants girls to be ruler of country and have equal rights but in her era it is very extraordinary so she forced to think in that way. On the other hand king sees a woman who is riding a horse without man( by herself ) unusual. He thinks woman can ride a horse just with the help of men or behind men.
In general our presentation was good and while the presentation we feel so normal and not excited at all just because of the audience is 4 person with our teacher Hatice Sarıgül. :) After the presentation i ,Çağrı and Selin we all think that with the more audience our presentation could be more excited one even it was too easy to do. I think we feel that way just because we work on hard for crowd audience and we don't except 4 people in class :P Anyway 4 people is better than no one else in class !! :) We wish our audience get some different information and hope they think on different ways that they do not think before.
